We turn a day of spreadsheet work into thirty minutes
The IEC and EN 62305 workspace, built with practising lightning-protection engineers. It turns a day of Excel and Word into one branded, audit-ready report.
The maths is written down in a published standard. The judgement is the engineer's. Lumex carries everything in between, and lets neither slip.
Born from a day lost to a spreadsheet
Lumex began on a consultant's desk, not in a product meeting. We sat with lightning-protection engineers to learn how the work really gets done, and watched one of them lose most of a day to a spreadsheet. He knew IEC 62305 cold; the standard was never the hard part. The day went elsewhere: dimensions typed cell by cell, coefficients chased across a dozen tabs, one wrong reference quietly pulling R1 off course, then a generic Word template rebranded by hand.
That was the moment the idea landed. The maths is deterministic and already written down in a published standard, yet every firm was rebuilding it by hand and betting on no typos in numbers a client would file. So we built Lumex around one belief: keep the judgement with the engineer, and let the software carry everything around it. A real IEC 62305:2024 engine, a branded audit-ready report, and a workspace that outlives the assessment.

What the job demands, side by side
| What the job demands | Excel + Word | Lumex |
|---|---|---|
| Time per assessment | 4–8 hours | < 30 min |
| A client-ready, branded report | Generic template | Your brand baked in |
| R1–R4 from the standard's coefficients | Manual maths | Deterministic engine |
| GST-compliant invoicing | Assembled by hand | GST-ready (INR) |
Run the whole assessment in one place
A real IEC 62305:2024 engine
Collection areas, event rates and damage probabilities from the standard's own coefficients, with a full trace and R1–R4 recomputing as you type.
Branded, audit-ready reports
A client-ready PDF carrying your logo, colour and engineer sign-off, plus the periodic inspection report for the 12-month maintenance cycle.
A workspace, not a spreadsheet
Projects, sites and zones in one place, with a shared report library, team roles, GST-ready billing and automatic reassessment reminders.
Four things we will not compromise on
The numbers are sacred
Deterministic IEC 62305; no AI ever writes a risk value, and it is enforced in code. That is the difference between a number you can defend and a guess.
The report is the product
Branded, defensible and ready in minutes, with your sign-off block, the deliverable a consultant is actually paid for.
Plain words, always
Explain the risk, show the report, skip the jargon. If a building owner can't tell what we do in ten seconds, the page is wrong.
Built for India & the Gulf
INR pricing, GST-compliant invoicing and regional fit, why a consultant here picks us over a euro-priced foreign tool.
One assessment, every base covered

A Webority Technologies product
Lumex is built by Webority Technologies, a product engineering team that ships software for the electrical and MEP consulting world. We work shoulder to shoulder with practising lightning-protection consultants, so the tool mirrors how the assessment is actually carried out, from the first site input through to the signed report.
That partnership shapes a clear principle: the published standard, not our opinion, is the source of truth. Every calculation in Lumex traces back to IEC 62305, so the numbers you put your name to are defensible, auditable, and consistent on every project your team takes on.
Our aim is plain: make a defensible IEC 62305 assessment the fastest part of an engineer's week, not the longest. We start with India and the Gulf, where the billing, compliance and pricing actually fit the way firms here work, and grow from there, one region and one report at a time.
